30 Kickass Torrent Search Engines for Hunting Torrents
We all love Torrents. It’s one of the quickest way to transfer and share files from one system to another. In recent years we have seen a major boom in P2P (peer-to-peer) file sharing technology.
Although downloading torrents from thousands of sites is not a difficult task, still people are unaware of how to upload a torrent file on a site. As huge volume of torrents found over the Internet, searching the right torrent that suites you is not an easy task as such.

What!? Your favorite Torrent Search engine is not in the list? Drop us a comment and we would love to add your favorite search engine to our list.
You should remove demonoid, it is an invite only site plus you’ve linked isohunts site π
Mininova.org anybody?
Definitely should be on the list!
The link to Demonoid points to ISOhunt.
@ John and Tim
Thanks for notifying. I have updated the link. However, I won’t remove demonoid since I am using it π
@ SparxyUK
Mininova is already on the list; #2.
Kind of tacky to include trackers (piratebay, demonoid, etc.), torrent hosters (mininova, isohunt, etc.) with pure search engines (Torrentz, Pizzatorrent, Scrapetorrent), don’t you think? You should at least make a distinction between the three.
Oh well.
Monova.org is also a fine site when it comes to hunting torrents π
demonoid should be higher on the list. pirate bay = virus bay. quality over quantity, my friend.

Couldn’t agree more. However this is an unordered list, therefore it doesn’t matter which comes first and which comes in the end.
You could save yourself a lot of trouble and just use activedots.com (used to be torrentpond.com).
It lets you search all of the torrent searches from one window instead of having to go to each one seperately.
I agree with what elfo said. Personally I use torrentz, that in turn searches through many of the ones already on the list. Good trackers/hosts like TPB and mininova is typically what I go with through torrentz. Great list though.
@ Saboom
Thanks for sharing with us. ActiveDots has been added in the list.
@ Galatorg
Thanks for the appreciation π
Actually, it’s not an unordered list either:
Top 30 Torrent Search Engines
1. Isohunt
2. Mininova
3. BTjunkie
Another great one is this place called Google. I have isohunt as a search engine on my browser and whenever they fail I just go to google and search the same thing with torrent added to the end.
Piratebay is a great tracker, the best in my opinion. However, as a search engine it absolutely blows. It is the master of returning unrelated rubbish. If your downloading something popular it’s not much a of a problem because you can just order by seeders and it puts what you want near the top. But for something more obscure you get a few hundred results, about ten of which are related and you’re stuck scanning through them.
How about Pizzatorrent.com?
Does anyone else use Toorgle?
yo what about thepiratebay.org its the best! if you want realy seed counts and real leacher counts. they give real data not like the other sites.
π Thanks for including ScrapeTorrent on the list!
Yeah, um, not to be rude or anything, but Demonoid is a private tracker and we like it that way. It’s invite only for a reason.
What about http://beta.legaltorrents.com/ ?
i use Bit Che. Is a free software who has a databases with TPB, FullDls, IsoHunt, Mininova …. U can easily see which one has more seeds π
After all this is the most important thing π
http://www.torrentech.org for music. U need an invite, but if u enter the IRC Chat u can get one
Forum……Topics
House…….5,760
Techno…..11,984
Trance……1,200

Breakbeat…3,800
Downtempo…1,500

PS: Tracker with Ratio β
TORRENTZ
it is to find any torrent in all those site LOL
well, if any of you can take the time to try to get an invite, waste your time on http://www.torrenttech.com I’m still waiting on an invite but the best electro/dance/computermade music torrents are on that site
For mainstream music I’d recommend Coda.fm
Pretty new but everything is verified and the selection’s growing by the day.
http://www.seektorrents.com/
Fast, simple torrent search site.
http://www.usniff.com
π
Also, Veritor
I rank Demonoid and Piratebay tied for #1 if nothing else then for the community.
Each torrent has a message board so to speak, and they are the first to point out if it has a virus, when comes to appz/gamez how to get them installed/work arounds, and are just generally helpful.
@ ferrariman
PizzaTorrent is already in the list.
@ Eazy
Thanks for letting us know. Toorgle has been added to our list.
@ Torrent Search
Your Welcome! π
@ All
Thank you all for your response. Your suggested torrents have been added to our list. π
@ Musab Zain
Hey, how ’bout an invite to Demonoid? π
Just curious….been trying to find a way onto Demonoid….
Thanks either way.

Sure why not! eMail sent on your mailing ID π
I canΒ΄t agree with you π
Google it: “Torrent Harvester”
Bitsoup, Torrentbytes and Demonoid aren’t search engines… they’re private trackers. Bitsoup and Torrentbytes just happen to have open signups from time to time… and Demonoid is invite only and has been for a very long time.
@anyone praising TPB
If TPB is the best… you haven’t even begun to find your way around the private tracker world. TPB is garbage. Even shitty private trackers are better than TPB and a hell of a lot safer. Everybody’s gotta start somewhere.
Not a bad idea for a post but you should’ve thought it out better.

Definitely need to add coda.fm
Its the best thing for music….No fake torrents….Though I wonder how long it will last before the RIAA lays down the smackdown…
but then again, the RIAA is a joke.
Yes, all you truly need is Demonoid and Google (to find whatever’s not on Demonoid, if you can grasp that concept… what a good tracker). However, I don’t recommend advertising Demonoid in any lists due to their fairly recent legal problems… It would seem the larger the community gets, the easier it will be for the record industry thugs and goddamn corporate pigs to dismantle it. I also don’t advise just handing out invitation codes to random people for the very reason offered above. Well, I wouldn’t anyway, I only offer invites to people I personally know, once I’m aware they know what they’re doing. Sorry, but I’ve been a member for years now, and I really don’t want to endure losing Demonoid again.
ThePirateBay used to be okay, but I’ve noticed most of the files I look for on there now are no longer seeded; I don’t know about viruses, I’ve never had a single problem with files I download there. Then again I have AVG, which is the first antivirus I’ve ever seen actually do something other than eat away at my fucking RAM or spawn fifteen auto-update processes at once. Coughnorton360cough. And, honestly, trackers like Demonoid pretty much rendered LimeWire and any other bullshit peer-to-peer programs like that obsolete when I was in high school… terrible transfer rates in general, and terrible chances of obtaining a clean file. I don’t touch that filth anyway. Isohunt and Mininova are fairly reliable, but in my opinion, NOTHING touches Demonoid AT ALL. You can also download a plugin/toolbar for your Firefox client that lets you surf multiple trackers and torrent search engines with one search; it’s convenient with its tabbed browsing but I never found it that effective, because most of the search engines are bullshit and full of unseeded files. If you listen to a lot of extremely obscure industrial bands as I do, your best bet is definitely Demonoid or Google. Kind of off topic, but if you need shit for your games, I find MegaGames has some decent fixes, patches, no-CD cracks, etc.
Ultimately, if you aren’t already a member of Demonoid, your options become that much more limited. If you’re still using thepiratebay, you could at least, uh, evolve and move on to Isohunt or Mininova. I don’t really know about BTjunkie, I’ve never needed to use it. If you’re using Comcast, I might have to recommend you stay the hell away from Sumotorrent. I downloaded a file from that one and ended up receiving a letter from Comcast which stated the filename, file size, tracker name, time at which it was downloaded, and etc. (However, this may have been a result of my own carelessness, so if SumoTorrent isn’t on the list, it’s your call whether or not to add it; I think there’s enough decent trackers on it for everyone though. It’s pulled through for me, but I question its security.) The pricks threatened to cancel my account, so I say fuck Comcast and fuck their precious Sandvine.
And that’s my story. π
Oh, and thank you for propagating these gems to the masses… There should be no tax on escape from reality.
yea I use piratebay, It gives accurate and up to date readings on seeders and leechers. as well, I really like the comments that other people leave so you can tell right away if it is a virus or not,or how to install whatever it is properly. The comments are always very popular, almost every torrent has them. And if you ask something you are sure to get a reply. The only time you are downloading blind(not knowing if it has virus) is if you are the first one lol. And for what I use it for, it always has what I need, with more than enough seeders every time.
although if someone could get me an invite to demonoid that would be great π I would love to try it out.
wow, i didn’t know that we had so many torrent search engines. Glad to know now. thx for sharing the sites, now i gotta download some…
Regars,
Simple
I think that usniff should be first because usniff searches all of the listed sites
I believe the Pirate Bay should be the #1 instead of #5. It almost includes all torrents your want.
I think iptorrents.com should be on there. Fast speeds and one of the best places for new releases, but it is private.
@ Phaoloo & Bobby miller
Its an unordered list.
@ PVTSICK
Thanks for sharing with us. The link has been added.
http://www.torrents.to allows you to search all the top torrent sites at once.
